FRANK VONDREJS

Born in 1947 in Czechoslovakia, Frank Vondrejs has worked in sculpture his entire life. Since 1984 he has created portraits of principle dancers of the National Ballet of Canada, including Veronica Tennant, Karen Kain and Rex Harrington. In describing Vondrej's work, well-known New York art critic Clement Greenberg said, "He does not need criticism, I just wish they were larger."
